Situation:
My board falls on the charger / Charger falls on the ground / Fan is defective / Combination of all 3
Root cause:
Internal Charger fan has had a fin break off and 2/3 hub supports are broken as well.
Symptoms:
Noisy / Loud fan when charging
Jammed fan: No fan noise when charging (overheating)
Remedy:
Replace internal fan with 40x40x10mm 12vdc computer fan.
Result:
Potentially cooler charging circuit, longer life, quieter operation.
